Our Adoption Process

We invite you to join our waitlist by filling out a simple application. This application helps us learn more about your family and what type of home you can provide for a puppy. Rest assured, submitting an application does not commit you to anything. We just want to ensure a great match! 

First of all, all submitted applications are time and date stamped, so we can go in order of submission. Once we have available puppies, I go down my list from the oldest to the newest application and contact families to let them know what puppies we have available. If the applicant is still looking for a puppy, I ask them to set up a time where we could have a video chat. This could be on Zoom, Facetime or Google Meet. This enables you to see the available puppies, their parents and our home, where the puppies are raised. If the family decides to move forward and purchase a puppy, they will be asked to place a deposit on the chosen puppy to hold it. 

Once you select a puppy, we ask for a $500 deposit. Deposits can be paid by personal check ,  PayPal or Venmo. If paying by personal check, I expect to receive it within 5 business days. If paying by PayPal or Venmo, all associated fees charged by PayPal must be paid by the purchaser.  Deposits are refundable at the sold discretion of Sue's Miniature Schnauzers but can be transferred to another puppy in a different litter if needed.
